Essentials of Business Communication

The Eighth Edition of Essentials came out in January, 2009. As we revised this book, my coauthor Dr. Dana Loewy and I focused on increasing the emphasis on professionalism and career relevance. One of my continuing goals for all of my books is making them easy to use for both teachers and students. To accomplish this objective, we provided practical case studies, exercises with solutions, and lecture outlines that ease the load of the instructor. This 2009 edition of Essentials also offers Aplia, an online, interactive tool that helps instructors ensure that students are reading and grasping concepts presented in the chapters. Aplia provides students with an e-book and a set of tutorial and practice tools to help them perfect their grammar and mechanics skills.

Business Communication: Process and Product

The Sixth Edition of Business Communication: Process and Product is now on the market, and sales suggest that it is very popular with students and instructors across the country. Its Canadian edition leads the market with our neighbors to the north. But an author's work is never done. My coauthor Dr. Dana Loewy and I are already working on BC:PP, 7e, which is scheduled for delivery in the fall of 2010.

Business English

The Tenth Edition of Business English will be released in January, 2010. My coauthor Carolyn Seefer and I have been working hard this spring and summer to update this long-time favorite. Because we have had steady feedback from instructors requesting more online help, we decided to offer half of all the Reinforcement Exercises online at www.meguffey.com. This means students can complete half of the exercises online and receive immediate feedback telling why an answer was right or wrong. The explanations are so complete that students will probably learn more than they do from attending class and checking exercise answers.
